Our most popular species

Spotted Gum

Spotted Gum
A rich individual timber, popular with architects and designers due to its striking grain structure and vibrant colour palette. Spotted gum is a large native hardwood that is grown in a variety of forest types along the NSW coastal strip into QLD. The word ‘spotted’ refers to large spot-like features that form on the tree as it sheds its bark in strips and adds character to the wood.

Blackbutt

Blackbutt
Blackbutt is a species that grows across the coastal forests in NSW and Southern QLD. The name is derived from the distinctive black, charcoal look that is only on the base of the trunk and is renowned for its strength and versatility. Blackbutt is a straight grained timber, with a warm nutty feel which complements a range of interior designs with a lighter neutral palette.

Tasmanian Oak

Tasmanian Oak
Tasmanian Oak varies from straw to reddish brown with intermediate shades of cream to pink. The grain is usually straight, open and even but has character via subtle growth rings. It is well known for its staining qualities which means you can easily match it with others timbers, finishes and furnishings.

Wormy Chestnut

Wormy Chestnut
Australian Wormy Chestnut is a striking and individual choice. Procured from predominately Victorian forests, its history and development is attributed to years of bushfires, droughts and the harsh weather conditions from the heart of the state. The name derives from its wormy appearance with solid veins reflecting through the wood showcasing its individuality. It’s a low-maintenance wood that makes a bold statement in any home and is popular with designers worldwide.

Red Ironbark

Red Ironbark
An elegant lustful red, Red Ironbark is an iconic species having been used in Australia’s history as a strong durable hardwood. Recognised as one of the hardiest floorings available in the world, it combines a cathedral grain pattern with a deep dark rouge colour. Red Ironbark is a medium to large tree that grows in the dryer regions in Northern NSW and Eastern QLD.

European Oak

European Oak
European oak (or English oak) is a species of flowering plant in the beech and oak family, Fagaceae. It is native to most of Europe, west of the Caucasus. The tree is widely cultivated in temperate regions, with the Oak tree being one of the most dominant broad-leaved species in temperate Europe. The clearly demarcated heartwood is light brown to dark brown. Oak is mostly straight grained with a medium to coarse texture. European oak is singular in its smooth texture, cool, consistent colour range and straight, tight grain.

What our customers say
No more orange! Floors are now a beautiful natural tone with a satin finish.
The revived floors change to feel of our whole house. Thanks so much!
The workmanship and attention to detail was fantastic. Our floors needed repairs as well as sand and polish. The results exceeded my expectation and I love my floors.
Highly recommend these guys.
I will not hesitate to use Natural Wood Floors on my next flooring project.
Thanks again guys
Got the quote done in the evening. Early morning, they were back with 3 people. The day after they were done (2.5 days total to do deep sanding, and 3 layers).
My floor was in a really bad state (to the point I was considering putting floating floor on top of the hard wood), and it was really dark (as per the 2 photos). They brightened it up, and smoothed it out
Would 100% recommend these guys, and will 100% use them again. The entire house feels more modern now, and is substantially brighter inside. In fact, the hardwood flooring looks 100% better than the floating floors I installed (and I am so happy I went this approach).
Thanks guys.
I never realised just how orange they were. They are now looking modern and brighten up the whole house.
Daniel was easy to deal with and can be trusted with your home while the work is being carried out. Fantastic job, thank you. ☺️
